Walking and Talking in Tucson

November 20, 2012

In January 2013 I will be visitng Tucson Arizona. It has always been my ambition to give talks to women’s groups in America and this seems a good place to start. I am obviously keen to hear from anybody who may have any contacts in Tucson or indeed in Sedona – a bit further afield I know but a great place to visit and work.
I have visited Tucson on several occasions; it is a warm and inspiring place in every sense of the word and because I stay with a very good friend who is also an artist, I am lucky enough to be absorbed in that creative world. In February it is the annual gem festival and I am looking forward to visitng this event along with people from all over the world.
Another attraction is walking in the hills that surround Tucson, wandering by the river and admiring the tall cacti. I scour the the rocks hoping to see a rattlesnake or wild cat and usually have to be content with being overawed by the magnificence of this huge country so very different from where I come from in Dorset.
