The Charmouth Literary Festival

September 23, 2014

It’s creeping up on us – Saturday 4th October at 9.30 – 4.30 is the 5th Charmouth Literary Festival. This is very much a village affair a festival for aspiring writers, and people who are interested in words. We have got a great line up of speakers and some activities for those attending. Literary festivals are springing up all over the place and I know how tempting it is to make it bigger and better than the previous year. This puts tremendous pressure on the organisers and so we have made a concerted effort to keep the Charmouth Literary Festival contained whilst giving good value for money – our festival is ‘free entry’-what a bargain! I love bookshops, libraries, writing groups and anything to do with words and to that end I am in my element and I treat writing like any other art, just do it. You have your own voice, your own words and your own way of expressing yourself. The day is varied including a chance to go outside on a guided writing and walking experience.
